He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at Melbourne University and through the school of medicine at the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg. He worked at major hospitals in Adelaide and finished his GP training in country South Australia. He has extensive experience in medical and surgical fields including Ear, Nose and Throat surgery, Plastic, Neurosurgery and Cardiac surgery.
